10. Mullerthal, Luxembourg

Also know as Little Switzerland, the region provides wonderful sites and activities. It features the oldest town here – Echternach, various hiking trails, that enable to explore valleys, rock formations and nature. The bridge and the Schiessentumpel waterfall make it one of the most popular hiking sites. The location, found in a secluded forest, looks really enigmatic.

9. Broerenkerk, Zwolle, the Netherlands

The Broerenkerk church was established in 1465 as part of the Dominican monastery. Later it was closed and after its restoration in 1988 the church was not used for services anymore. It became a venue for cultural events and a bookstore, that opened last year.

Why to go there?

Admire the fusion of historic and modern architecture, purchase books.

8. The Moses Bridge, Halsteren, Netherlands

The impressive bridge looks like a sunken corridor, as if the water has parted for the pedestrians. It is installed in a 17th century fort – Fort De Roovere. It was designed by RO & AD Architects, who had decided to make it that way, so it wouldn’t stand out in the historic fort complex.

Why to go there?

The bridge is made of Accoya wood, that is treated with anti-fungal coating, that enables the wood not to erode. And besides being really practical, the bridge makes this surprising impression of the water being divided.

7. Hike in Luxembourg

One of the tiniest countries in the world, the size of two NYC, is embedded in the beautiful lush forests and mountainous surroundings between Germany and France. 6. Liege-Guillemins Station, Liège, Belgium

One of the most important stations in the country is the center of transportation in Belgium – one of the Europe’s most populous countries. The new station was opened in 2009 and features distinct structure made of glass, steel and white concrete.

5. Tulip Festival, The Netherlands

Country that produces the most tulips in the world becomes covered in colorful striped fields of the blossoming flowers. Visitors can admire them not only in the parks, but also simply by traveling around the country and passing tulip fields on their way.

Why to go there?

In mid April. If the winter is warm and short, go there from late March. The stunning tulip fields lie in the Noordoostpolder, Keukenhof Gardens and many other places in the country.

4. Bruges, Belgium
