The Jinhae Gunhangje Cherry Blossom Festival, Changwon City, South Korea. The largest festival in the country celebrates the blossoming cherries, that are so loved in Asia. It is also known as the Military Parade, since it features military orchestra marching and playing through the streets.
Every spring the streets of Jinhae Gunhangje – the city of spring – attract thousands of locals and guests for a ten day celebration. The festival has a long tradition – it was first held in 1952. There are about 340,000 cherry trees, so the ephemeral beauty must be commemorated.

The festival takes place from April 1st to April 10th.

See the spectacular trees and the festival, which also features street performers, carnival stalls and street lighting. However, you can see blossoming sakuras in other cities including Seoul as well.
How to get there?
The easiest way to get to Changwon is from Busan, which has an international airport.
