Splish Splash Fun at Tukad Unda Dam, Bali

Tukad Unda Dam, Bali, Indonesia. The dam is made on a river Tukad Unda – a major one in Bali – in Klungkung. It is a popular spot among the locals, who come to bathe and wash their clothes. The dam is also a wonderful source of play for the children, who splash water from the buckets on each other.

Klungkung is on the way to Ubud and is culturally as well as historically significant. It is famous for the classic Balinese paintings, that are being exhibited in Semarajaya Museum and Klungkung Palace. Taman Gili – the remains of the original palace – is one of the main attractions.

Why to go there?

A rather small, but interesting town, full of art, authentic architecture and beautiful nature.

When to go there?

All year round, although the dry season from June to September is the most pleasant time to go.

How to get there?

It is located only 25 km from Ubud. Get there on your way to or from Ubud by car, taxi or bemo – a public transportation.
