Spitting Caves – a Little Known Great Site in Hawaii

Spitting Caves, Hawaii Kai, Hawaii. Posited next to a quiet residential neighborhood in Honolulu, Spitting Caves is not a very known place and not included in guided tours. Therefore only determined adventurers head there. However their efforts definitely pay off.

The site features colorful wavy cliffs, dropping into the blue ocean. Although it attracts cliff divers, it is very dangerous, since underwater currents suck the divers into the caves. Many fatal accidents happen here, so it is not advised to swim. But one can enjoy a nice hike, wonderful views, the sound of crashing waves and romantic sunset once here.

Why to go there?

Enjoy quiet moment in unspoiled nature. It is advised to have comfortable shoes, since the rocks can be slippery. Also be extra careful and don’t go swimming here. But other than that, the site is truly a beautiful piece of unspoiled Hawaiian landscape.

When to go there?

Anytime, although it might be really pretty at dawn or sunset.

How to get there?

Get to 7 Lumahai St, Honolulu. From there find a trail, which leads to Spitting Caves.
