Palouse Region, Washington, USA. A small city of the same name, inhabited by around 1000 residents, is surrounded with the vast fields of wheat and rapeseed. But do not underestimate this farmland – the place has been attracting photographers for a while now. Its hilly valleys are compared to those in Tuscany and are loved by a camera.
The landscape however is quite unusual. It led the geologists to believe that these hills were created by wind rather than rivers, and are ancient dunes. Palouse region also has other attractions for the casual travelers as well. The Palouse Falls of the Palouse River plunging from the canyon is another beautiful destination in the region.
