The Theological Hall, Prague, The Czech Republic. The impressive library is housed in the Strahov Monastery – a historic building complex in the heart of beautiful Prague. The library was founded in the late 17th century and designed by Italian architect Giovanni Domennico Orsi.
The library features numerous astronomical and terrestrial globes and over 18,000 original volumes. They are theological books, most of them various editions of the Bible. In the 18th century the ceilings were decorated with Siard Nosecký’s frescoes. Today the library is one of the favorite tourist sites in the whole complex.
